  • Although I had always enjoyed hiking and the outdoors, I didn’t anticipate just how much pleasure and fulfillment would come to me as a result of shaping and maintaining beautiful places. It quickly became a passion and has taken a major role in the course of my life, to the extent that no week is complete if I haven’t gotten out to hike and/or work on a preserve. -Peter Stoj, Keleher Preserve Steward

  • Bozen Kill

According to Charles Gehring, Director of the New Netherland Project, Bozen Kill is a Dutch term. Kill refers to a stream and Bozen means angry or raging. Following heavy rains or during spring runoff, the name is especially appropriate.
