Bozen Kill Challenge
MHLC is protecting the Capital Region’s water supply, one stream at a time
Saving trees. Saving landscapes. Saving watersheds.
Saving habitats. Preserving our heritage.
Ensuring our future.
With your support, these are the achievements of the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy every day. And together we will do more!
I recently wrote to you about the Conservancy’s many priority projects under way this year that could result in the permanent conservation of more than 2,000 acres of natural lands in the Capital Region. But today, I want to bring your attention to one special project.

Today, MHLC can add to its 244-acre Bozen Kill Preserve and save more of the Bozen Kill stream corridor, one of the main tributary streams for the Watervliet Reservoir, with a new exciting project to protect an additional 53 acres and more than a mile of the stream. And we need your help!
For just $50,000, MHLC can conserve this land while further protecting the drinking water for the more than 45,000 residents of the City of Watervliet and the Town of Guilderland– that’s clean water for just $1.10 per person. But time is of the essence! We must raise the funds by July or the opportunity will be lost.
The Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy has received a challenge grant for this important project in the amount of $15,000 from Jim Suozzo. For every dollar that you donate, Jim will match it, up to $15,000. This generous grant dramatically increases the impact of your giving!
With a gift of $150, for instance, you will help to better protect the drinking water for 136 people, and Jim will match your gift for an additional 136 people. That’s water for 272 people!
Can you help save 53 additional acres and more than a mile of the Bozen Kill stream corridor? Can you help MHLC to protect the drinking water for more than 45,000 Capital Region residents?
Please donate today to help us meet Jim’s challenge. Every dollar matters! Please give as generously as you can.
ps. Please give today. Click here to view a flyer with additional information about this important project. And please pass on the news about this challenge to your friends and family. Every dollar makes a difference!
