Family Wilderness

Have you ever wondered what it would take to survive in the wilderness?
You think you have what it takes?events_PC

There’s no shortage of guidebooks for survival, but the quickest way to gain wilderness survival skills is to take a course from an experienced instructor and get hands-on training.

Join the Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy and Dave Muska of Ondatra Adventures for a day of fun, excitement, and challenges.  You and your child will learn firsthand skills such as shelter building, edible medicinal plant identification, and fire building & lighting, just to name a few.  You’ll even have a chance to try starting fire ‘the old way’– with friction!!

By the time you leave you’ll have plenty of good stories to share and skills to practice together.

This year, celebrate Mother’s Day and Father’s Day in the great outdoors with your family.
