On Friday, April 29 (Arbor Day) Bethlehem Girl Scout Troop #1209, under the guidance of leader Veronica Roddy, planted 3 native trees- a swamp white oak (Quercus bicolor), a serviceberry (Amelanchier laevis) and a white birch (Betula papyrifera) at MHLC’s Van Dyke Preserve.
The serviceberry was planted In Memoriam of Carla Bailey, the daughter-in-law of David and Sandra Geisinger. We would like to thank Guernsey’s Schoharie Nurseries located in Schoharie NY for their generous donation.
