The Normans Kill West Preserve consists of one parcel obtained from Albany County in 2005 due to tax foreclosure. The preserve consists of 30 acres of protected land along the Normanskill, a significant tributary to the Hudson River.
This trail loop is through a mix of woods and open terrain with trails running alongside the Normanskill, offering views of the river and Steven’s Farm on the opposite bank. The terrain on this preserve is varied at times and is located to the west of the Delaware Avenue landslide in 2000.
The Normans Kill Preserves are located on Delaware Avenue in the Town of Bethlehem. The western parcel is located at the end of Normanskill Boulevard across the street from Delaware Plaza.
The preserve is also accessible by CDTA Route 18! Normans Kill West – a short walk from the Delaware Ave./ Normanskill Ave stop.
