2021-5-04 Wolf Creek Falls Workday

Thank you for joining us for a workday at Wolf Creek Falls.  Please register below.

The trees and shrubs for this event are provided by the Hudson River Estuary Trees for Tributaries Program.

Planting these trees and shrubs next to Wolf Creek will help prevent erosion and improve water quality. This stream is a tributary of (or flows into) the Bozenkill and then continues into the Watervliet Reservoir, which serves as a drinking water source.

Any way we can improve filtration and erosion prevention along streams not only helps water quality for people but also provides habitat benefits for wildlife. The trees and shrubs planted are native with some providing fruit, some providing shelter, and some becoming home to lots of caterpillars and bugs to feed the birds in the area.

Thank you for your help improving water quality and wildlife habitat and we look forward to seeing you there!

For all workday events it is recommended that participants wear long pants, waterproof hiking boots, and a hat, apply sunscreen and bug spray, and bring water and snacks. Questions?  Contact kent@mohawkhudson.org.

As part of our registration process, we require that all event participants agree to our Event Release and Waiver of Liability.
