Normans Kill East:
Approximately 1/2 mile of trails over steep terrain
The Normans Kill East Preserve consists of two parcels obtained from Albany County in 2005 due to tax foreclosure. The Preserve consists of 15 acres of protected land along the Normanskill, a significant tributary to the Hudson River.
This trail loop is through the woods and runs along the top of the riverbank, offering views of the Normanskill and Steven’s Farm on the opposite bank. The terrain on this preserve is steep at times and is located to the east of the Delaware Avenue landslide (in 2000) and includes a trail spur down to the Normanskill waterfront.
Accessible by CDTA Route 18! Normans Kill East – a short walk from the Delaware Ave/ Mason Rd stop.
