MHLC seeks candidates for a full-time Land Protection Specialist position. The Land Protection Specialist will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the MHLC team, volunteers, landowners and donors. This position will play a key role in furthering our land conservation goals across a three-county region and help todevelop a vision for the future of our land protection efforts across the Catskill to Adirondack Linkage. The Land Protection Specialist will assist in accelerating land conservation efforts, fostering community engagement, and enhancing public access to protected lands.

MHLC is hiring two (2) Summer Land Stewards again in 2025 to assist with a diverse set of tasks relating to stewardship of MHLC’s growing public trail systems. The positions will involve both field (90%) and office work (10%). Responsibilities include assisting stewardship staff to manage and maintain MHLC lands and recreational trails; leading volunteer groups, and interacting with community members through trail workdays and MHLC events. (30-35 hrs/week, for 13 weeks. Compensation is $17/hr.)
