Location
The flat one-mile trail at Mosher Marsh provides serene wetland views. As you loop across fields and forest, look for a vast number of bird species and other wildlife throughout the marsh. Stop on the boardwalks or bench area to see evidence of beaver lodges and ‘potholes’ – small pools for wet land bird habitat. If you arrive in the month of May, you will see blooming lupine along the entrance trail.

Preserve Features
Ellie Peters donated this 43-acre preserve to MHLC in 2008.It consists largely of a natural wetland with several shallow man-made ponds to enhance wildlife habitat. A small stream, a tributary to the Chuctanunda Creek, flows through the middle of the property. The site also contains a mix of fields with woods and a historic family cemetery. A unique feature of the loop trail is the 300-foot boardwalk that runs through the wetland.
